April Action: The Top Thrills Coming To Theaters This Month! [VIDEO]

If you’re a movie head or love a good action or horror thrill, check out this list of movies hitting theaters in April:

1. The Curse of La Llorona
This horror film stars Linda Cardellini as a social worker who goes up against a “child-hungry ghost,” aka a Latin folklore. It’ll be released on April 17th, watch the trailer here:

2. Little Woods
This is a western drama, starring Tessa Thompson and Lily James, who play sisters Ollie and Deb. They are pressured by outside forces to act outside the law as life hits them hard. This will be played in select theaters on April 19th. See the trailer here:

3. Brightburn
James Gunn produced this film and think of it as Superman with an evil twist! The story is about a young boy Brandon Breyer (Jackson A. Dunn) who mysteriously gets into a spaceship and the family raises him as their own. Brandon has superpowers but uses them for evil, like inflicting pain on others. It hits theaters April 23rd, will you go see it? Check out the trailer:

4.  Avengers: Endgame

This Marvel movie features some of the most iconic characters and it’s expected to answer questions that were left unanswered in “Infinity War.” Could it be the last film for some Marvel characters? Find out April 24th in theaters. For now, check out the trailer:

5. Dreamland
This film takes a close look at the opioid addiction crisis in the U.S. It follows three different people who are linked by addiction. There’s a drug trafficker, someone recovering from Oxy, and a University professor who battles “unexpected revelations about his employer, a drug company with deep government influence bringing a new ‘non-addictive’ painkiller to market.” Kid Cudi will also make a guest appearance as an FDA investigator. It’ll premiere at the Tribeca Film on April 28, 2019.
