Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms is reportedly not running for reelection in 2022.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Bottoms made the announcement during a private call with staffers, friends, and allies. She also released a video and statement explaining why she chose not to seek a second term.
“As Derek and I have given thoughtful prayer and consideration to the season now before us, it is with deep emotions that I hold my head high, and choose not to seek another term as mayor.” See the entire letter below.

Keisha Lance Bottoms is set to hold a press conference at 10 a.m. on Friday at City Hall.
