Ben Affleck, who has been open about his addiction to alcohol in the past, has entered rehab. A source close to the 46-year-old actor confirmed to CNN earlier today. Affleck’s estranged wife, Jennifer Garner took Affleck to a treatment facility in Malibu on Wednesday. “This was a crisis situation,” Garner told PEOPLE about the intervention.
The actor has been battling the addiction for years, as his first time in treatment was back in 2001 when Charlie Sheen drove him to another treatment facility in Malibu. In more recent years, Affleck opened up on Facebook in 2017 about his journey battling alcohol addition:
