Director Benny Boom passed through Hot 97 and sat down with Ebro in the Morning about the much anticipated 2Pac biopic All Eyez On Me.
He began the conversation talking about directing Nicki Minaj’s “No Frauds” video which was shot days before the London Attacks in the same area. Then he went into the film in which he is the second director involved.
Benny Boom touched on the controversy between the film and its original director John Singleton and his decision to leave and trash the film.
The director explained that he took the film in a different perspective in which the audience may not have thought.
As for portrayals in All Eyez On Me, Dr. Dre gave his blessing while Snoop Dogg helped out with parts of the film. Others like Diddy, Suge Knight, and other members that had beef with 2Pac also had no complaints about their portrayals.
Lian Amado also passed through and discussed her role as Angie Martinez and preparing for that legendary interview at Hot 97. She also touched on her past relationship with our own Drewski.
All Eyez On Me is in theaters this Friday, June 16.
