Cardi B. received an enormous reaction throughout the end of the week for a transphobic image that as of late showed up on her checked Facebook page. According to Cardi B. the image was posted by a previous representative.

The controversial image included the words, ” “I hope nobody see this tr—y leave my house,” attached with numerous laughing emojis. The caption seemed to be a poke at the disgrace related to relationships between transgendered and cisgendered people.

Orange Is The New Black star and transgender rights activist Laverne Cox even weighed in on the trending controversy stating on her twitter account:

“I am a huge advocate for free speech but as long as its socially acceptable to make jokes about trans people, to make and share memes disparaging & demeaning trans folks, trans folks will continue to be murdered & denied civil rights,”.

Cardi has since denounced the offensive Facebook post stating  “It’s come to my attention that there have been offensive posts made on what used to be my Facebook page. For the past year and a half a FORMER team member has been the only one with access to the account”.

There has been no word back from the LGBT community or transgendered social  influencers such as Laverne Cox since Cardi B.’s statement. Hopefully all is forgiven.
