Cardi B is learning day-by-day the sacrifices that are needed to be made to be a mother.

The rapper decided to step away from joining Bruno Mars on the 24K Magic tour after giving birth to her daughter Kulture three weeks ago. She made the announcement on Instagram where she admitted she wasn’t ready just yet to get back to the grind.

“As of today I’ve decided I won’t be joining Bruno on tour this Fall,” she said. “I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing.”

She later admitted she wasn’t ready physically as well as doctor’s recommendation to not have a newborn child travel so much at such a young age.

“Not only am I just not ready physically,” she said. “I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road.”

There was no hard feelings from Bruno Mars who responded in an Instagram message himself.

“Most important thing is you and your family’s health,” he said. “I know the fans will understand.”

Good news for fans is that she’s still in the studio, and will be releasing a music video to her single “Ring” with Kehlani.
