Since the release of Ava Duvernay’s ‘When They See Us’, a four-part documentary about the Central Park 5, the former prosecutor of that case, Linda Fairstein has come under fire by viewers.
Fairstein recently called the Netflix series, “so full of distortions and falsehoods as to be an outright fabrication”. The op-ed was written in the Wall Street Journal by Fairstein where she states that movie’s depiction of what happened “does not speak the truth”. Fairstein also went on to say, “I agreed with that decision and still do. But the other charges, for crimes against other victims, should not have been vacated”.
