Central Park Five Prosecutor Linda Fairstein Resigns From Her Job Due To Backlash From ‘When They See Us’

The highly anticipated Netflix documentary, When They See Us has sparked a lot of outrage.

The four part docu-series reveals the shocking and controversial story of the  Central Park Five case. When They See Us, was created, written, and directed by Ava DuVernay. The film breaks down the injustices the teens went through and how the system failed them terribly.

The prosecutor on the case, Linda Fairstein, reportedly resigned from her position with “Vassar College and the board of directors at the God’s Love We Deliver charity and Safe Horizon nonprofit.” The company wouldn’t share the details due to it being an “internal” matter.

Reported on NYDN, “Vassar College President Elizabeth Bradley, in a statement to the school community, explained that the massive backlash against Fairstein since the airing of the fictionalized Netflix series “When They See Us” led the lawyer to walk away from the college’s board of trustees.

After millions watched the docu-series, many people f that Linda played a major role in having the innocent children put in jail.

Linda was also forced to shut down her social media accounts.
