Jussie Smollett, 36, was charged and arrested Thursday morning with felony disorderly conduct for allegedly filing a false police report with the Chicago Police Department.
In the report the actor claimed his attackers put a noose around his neck and poured bleach on him, while yelling “MAGA Country”.
The Chicago Police Department says it has been revealed that Smollett began by sending himself a letter containing racial slurs, and then proceeded by paying $3,500 to organize the attack on himself.
They also believe Smollett wanted the attack to be caught on the surrounding surveillance cameras. Unfortunately, the cameras were facing in the wrong direction.
Superintendent Eddie Johnson says Thursday morning Jussie Smollett “took advantage of the pain and anger of of racism to promote his career. How can an individual that has been embraced by the city of Chicago turn around and slap everyone in the city by making these false accusations”.
Though he avoided the question in a recent conference, Trump finally broke his silence and tweeted his thoughts about the scandal:
.@JussieSmollett – what about MAGA and the tens of millions of people you insulted with your racist and dangerous comments!? #MAGA

Police believe Smollett may have orchestrated the entire incident in hopes of advancing his career.
