Over the week two men were arrested in ties to the murder of Queens rapper Chinx.
Chinx was gunned down in his vehicle almost three years ago, however detectives are starting to get to the root of the problem starting with suspects Quincy Homere, and Jamal Hill.
Chinx’s widow Janelli Caceres-Pickens recently spoke with our very own Lisa Evers and opened up about how she felt regarding the updates on he husbands murder case.
“It was hard, It’s hard to sit there and see the person that is responsible for this and not be able to say anything, and not be able to give emotion” – Janelli

#CHINX WIFE @the_realnelli_ speaks out after seeing her husband’s accused killers in court. When Quincy Homere & Jamar Hill were arraigned in the courtroom, (they pleaded not guilty to murder & other charges), it was packed with Chinx’s family members & friends. They never looked in the direction of @the_realnelli_ (Janelli), her & Chinx 3 children or their many supporters. She explains how that felt in this video. ***For just over 2 1/2 years, I have spoken with Janelli Caceres-Pickens, and interviewed her many times as I have reported on this case for @fox5ny & my @hot97 #streetsoldiers show. I have always been impressed by how Janelli has carried herself with respect & dignity, & worked to keep her husband’s music legacy alive, while at the same time actively pursuing justice. This took tremendous courage, especially knowing the killer was out there & not knowing who it was. She told me from the first day she would not give up her fight for #justiceforchinx and would cooperate with police. Since his murder, she has been raising their 3 children, working, going to school & running her own business as well as handling Chinx’s music business, while at the same time grieving this heartbreaking loss. This is how a real woman moves & deals, and does it in the media spotlight no less. Too often women are left after their man is gunned down or other deep personal tragedies to keep their families together on their own, and their efforts are not recognized.
