Chrissy Teigen and John Legend held a memorial for their late son, Jack.

We previously reported that a year ago the couple lost their baby boy due to pregnancy complications. “We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”

Chrissy went on to say that she and John typically don’t name their children until after they’re born, but they had started calling their unborn bundle of joy Jack. “We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”

Chrissy shares via her Instagram the couple held a memorial for Jack. She hopes the service will provide some sort of “closure” for her. “Took me a year but finally honored his little spirit with some blessings today. hopefully some closure in my heart will happen now thank you guys for the kind words. It’s a process. Xx”

May he continue to rest peacefully.
