Common will be a regular on TV when his new show “Black Samurai” airs on the STARZ network. The series based on the novels Black Samurai, written by Mark Olden, will be executive produced by RZA, Mitchelle Diggs, the legendary Jerry Bruckheimer and Common.
According to STARZ, “the series will follow the character of Robert Sand (Common), a highly-trained American Army Ranger whose life is transformed when he meets a legendary Japanese master who invites him to rain as samurai. After his beloved sensei and samurai brothers are killed by mercenaries, Sand is thrust on a worldwide journey of both revenge and self-discovery.”
With an all-star team like this, it sounds like a win to me! No word yet on when production begins.
