This is a very unfortunate and sad situation.
California police have reason to believe that a mother, Tierra Ortega, threw her infant daughter off of a second-story balcony and killed her. Ortega then took her toddler son in her arms, and jumped off of the balcony as well, according to Fox.
Upland cops were responding to a neighbor’s 911 call about a woman throwing a baby off of a balcony. When authorities arrived, that’s when the 24-year-old mother proceeded to jump off. She’s alive from the fall.
The toddler, who miraculously survived, suffered a broken foot and the mother is expected to get hit with, “charges of suspicion of homicide, attempted homicide and child abuse resulting in death.” One of the neighbors reportedly suffered a nervous breakdown after seeing everything!
According to eyewitnesses, this wasn’t an accident. Police are investigating to find a motive.
