Serena Williams did not surprise many with her quick return to the court after entering motherhood.

Yesterday at the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic, the tennis icon received a hard loss to the British tennis player, Johanna Konta. In the first set Williams lost 6-1 and in the second set list 6-0.

According to First Post, Serena Williams said that she has a lot on her mind and that she definitely was not at her best.

“I know I can play a zillion times better so that kind of helps out, too. I have so many things on my mind I don’t have time to be shocked about a loss that clearly wasn’t at my best right now….When I was out there, was fighting. That’s the only thing I can say, I wasn’t just like giving it away and I was moving a lot better. So I’m just trying to take the positives out of it.” – Serena Williams

Although this was a tough loss to take, this will not stop Williams from training harder and coming back better than ever.

Serena Williams is constantly giving inspiration to women all over the world and how she returns from this will only add to her role as a model athlete, wife, and mother.

Williams next move will be to Montreal for the Rogers Cup. If she wins another Grand Slam title she will be tied with Margaret Court who holds the seat for the most, which is 24.
