DMX got in trouble with the law for tax evasion. He owed $1.7 million in taxes and was facing five years but was only sentenced to one year in prison.

In March 2018, a judge ruled that the “Slippin” rapper would do one year behind bars, would have to have three years of supervision, and he has to pay the government back $2.2 million. The judge also referred to DMX as a “good man.”

Welp, good behavior gets rewarded. According to a report, DMX will be released on January 27th. The report also says that X was writing music while locked up so we can expect to hear new music sometime next year. He was also offered a role on screen for a biopic about his life.
