Ready Ron is speaking out.
Amid the tragic death of DMX, an old interview resurfaced of him telling the sad story of how he got introduced to drugs when he was 14. According to X, his mentor, Ready Ron, gave him weed laced with crack without his knowledge. DMX said the night it happened, they just did a robbery and split the money from it.
“…It was his birthday, and we came back and split the money. I said, ‘Here you go, go get something nice for your birthday.’ So he came back with a blunt rolled up, and I’m counting the money, he pass[ed] the blunt.” DMX went on to say after he smoked the blunt, he wasn’t focused on the money anymore.
“I’ve never felt like this; it just fed me up. I later found out that he laced the blunt with crack. Why would you do that to a child? He knew I looked up to him. Why would you do that to somebody who looks up to you? A monster was born. I wouldn’t do that to my worst enemy. Especially to someone that you supposedly love.”

The Ruff Ryders rapper called the man he o fed looked up to a “snake.” TJB reports Ron recently spoke out and told The Neighborhood Talk Blog that story wasn’t true. Rob said,
“How was I 30 years old in 1985 and he was 14? And he and I are only three years apart. You [have to] remember, just because somebody is world-famous doesn’t mean they’re always honest. And I’ve got nothing bad to say about him but you gotta stop lying on me.” Ron went on to say he wasn’t the person who introduced the “Slippin’” rapper to crack.
“We were kids, and we were getting high back then; I wasn’t the one to expose him to crack.” Take a look:
