Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Issa Rae are becoming tag-team partners to produce a new wrestling series on HBO.
The pair along with Dany Garcia will executive produce a half-hour wrestling series focusing on the creation of a backyard wrestling promotion.
The series is currently named TRE CNT (TRE COUNT) and it follows Cassius Jones, a young dockworker, and struggling wrestler who received life-insurance money for a start-up from his grandfather.
The series is written by Mohammad El Masri. At the moment there is no expected release date.
