The co- writer of Marvin Gaye’s classic ‘Lets Get It On’ Ed Townshend has hit Ed Sheeran with a lawsuit over his single ‘Thinking Out Loud’.
According to Townshend the “harmonic progression” along with melodic elements from Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ are ripped from Gaye’s classic record.
Although Sheeran’s team has yet to respond to the allegations, just last year Marvin Gaye’s team won over 7 million dollars in a lawsuit against Robin Thicke and Pharrell’s ‘Blurred Lines.’
