Battle of the…fathers. Eddie Murphy says Martin Lawrence “will be paying” if their children get married.
Jasmin Lawrence and Eric Murphy went public on social media with their relationship back in June 2021. Jasmin previously said their dad’s had nothing to do with how they met. “It wasn’t even our dads, and they’ve done two movies together, they’re friends,” she said.
She explains they “became really good friends because we bonded on a lot of things,” she added, and “understood each other” due to their shared backgrounds growing up in Hollywood.
Now according to Eddie Murphy, Martin will be footing the potential wedding bill. “That’s not how it goes…don’t try to switch it up…you paying for the wedding. If it goes down, Martin is paying.”
“My daughter just got married, and I had to pay — really had to pay,” he said. “You have to do the same, Martin” Murphy joked. “And the wedding better be wonderful.”
