Tragedy has reached the Mathers family.
Eminem’s biological father, Marshall Bruce Mathers JR passed away at the age of 67 earlier this week due to a heart attack in Indiana according to TMZ.
You may have heard him mentioned on several tracks throughout these years including his 2002 hit “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.”
“My fa***t father must’ve had his panties up in a bunch ‘Cause he split, I wonder if he even kissed me goodbye. No, I don’t, on second thought, I just f***in’ wished he would die. I look at Hailie, and I couldn’t picture leavin’ her side.”
Eminem’s dad did not have a relationship with his son after splitting from Slim Shady’s mom and moving to California while Em moved to Detroit. The two did not have contact afterwards.
There has been no statement from Eminem following the passing.
