Looks like Tekashi 69 has another legal situation on his hands.
Before the Brooklyn rapper got locked up, he secured a deal with the discount clothing retailer, Fashion Nova. Tekashi was paid an advance of $225,000 in October 2018, but two weeks later, he was locked up.
Tekashi was supposed to promote the clothing brand on his social media pages but being incarcerated put a stop to that. The fashion company also claims that during Tekahsi’s testimony, they realized that the rapper wouldn’t be a good brand ambassador for them.
Fashion Nova was also upset that the rapper didn’t know he was going to jail when he accepted the deal, but how could he have known? The company is seeking over $2 million.
Tekashi 69 is slated to be released on August 2, 2020. The rapper has a $10 million music deal he signed while behind bars, so it’s straight to the studio for 69 once he’s out.
