Many fans were SHOCKED to hear Gabrielle Union was let go from being a judge on America’s Got Talent.

We covered the story, last month the actress was fired from AGT, she claims it was due to her speaking out on concerns regarding race as well as her hair being criticized as being “too black,” while NBC claims it was time for some of the hosts to rotate.

Gabrielle didn’t address the situation head-on, but she offered advice for minority women. She was on a panel with New York & Company for female empowerment and inclusivity event and said:

“Don’t be the happy negro that does the bidding of the status quo because you’re afraid. Don’t allow them to call you angry when someone else is called passionate. It’s terrifying. There’s a solid chance you’ll lose your job…I speak from experience!”

“There are a lot of people who are only interested in filling their own plate,” Union continued. “I can’t enjoy my food if everyone else is starving.”

There’s currently an investigation on NBC due to claims of the workplace being a toxic” and “racially insensitive” environment.
