Boxer Gervonta Davis will spent 90 days behind bar for violating house arrest for 2020 hit-and-run incident.
In 2020, Davis ran a red light and hit another vehicle. The accident injured four people including a pregnant woman and it is alleged that Davis then fled the scene. Davis pled guilty to four charges.
Davis was sentenced to house arrest beginning in early May, as well as 200 hours of community service and attend sessions with Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Davis chose to stay at his trainer Calvin Ford's house during the sentence.
On Thursday night, Davis was arrested during an “impromptu hearing” and his sentence was changed from house arrest to penal incarceration. Davis will now have to spend 90 days in jail.
