Hampton University is stepping up to help the victims of Hurricane Dorian.  The HBCU announced that they will come together with the University of Bahamas to allow students who have been displaced to spend the fall semester on their campus tuition-free.

President William R. Harvey said in a statement, “I think this agreement is something that can be helpful to a great number of students and families and is part of something I’ve tried to do my entire career, helping people to achieve and meet their goals.”

The students from the University of Bahamas will also receive room and board for a semester with the option of staying after the fall semester is over and paying standard tuition and fees.
