Harvey Weinstein has turned himself in to police today (May 25) in New York City.
He is reportedly being charged with rape, criminal sex act, sex abuse and sexual misconduct.
Weinstein will be released on bail which will be set at $2 million. He will not be out of the woods following this as the producer is still under investigation for sex crimes in Los Angeles and London.
The NYPD released a statement following the arrest.
The NYPD thanks these brave survivors for their courage to come forward and seek justice. The arrest and ensuing charges are the result of a joint investigation between the NYPD and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
