Did you get a chance to watch BET’s The Bobby Brown Story? Fans were shocked when details were revealed about Bobby Brown’s relationship with Janet Jackson.
In the two part film, it turns out the Jackson was seeing Brown while being engaged to whom many suspect to be James DeBarge. In a recent interview with ESSENCE, Woody McClain (who plays Bobby Brown) shared that he spoke with the Bad Boy of R&B after reading the script outlining Brown’s relationship with Jackson. He asked the singer:
“Yo! Bobby, you sure you wanna say this?”
In part 1, Brown professes his love to Jackson and asked her if they can take things to the next level. However, Jackson refused. He also felt that he was rejected due to his skin color.
McClain also reveals why Brown felt it was important for him to share his truth especially with it comes to his past situation with the pop star.
“He said he wanted his story to be told truthfully so when his kids are growing up he can show them, ‘This is what Daddy’s been through.’ I don’t want you to go through that.”
Part two of The Bobby Brown Story airs tonight on BET at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. Central.
