In 2002, Dr. Dre first announced his follow up to the classic album 2001. It has been 16 years since the announcement which countless starts and stops along the way. The album has been a sort of a longstanding urban legend at this point in hip hop.
Producer Scott Storch was a guest on Power 106, and decided to tell the world once again that the album is in the works.
“I think it’s gonna happen man,” he said. “matter of fact, I know that it’s gonna happen.”
He later continues on the delay of the album.
“That’s the D.R.E. He’s a perfectionist,” he says. “You waited ten years last time. Dre he be killing it. More to come from him for sure.”
So far the only singles from the album has been “Kush” released in 2010, and “I Need A Doctor” released in 2011. Dr. Dre also released a surprise album titled Compton in 2015.
