Following the success of “Bodak Yellow”, Cardi B continued to reach new heights with the release of her album Invasion of Privacy in early 2018.
Rumors started early that year that Nicki Minaj and Bardi had some problems with subliminal lyrics towards each other. We thought a truce was reached when both were featured in the Migos single “Motorsport,” but they both shot their parts of the video seprately, and then we started to hear that Nicki Minaj rewrote her verse to send a shot at Cardi B.
We then thought it was all good after their public conversation at the Met Gala, but it all reached new heights during NYC fashion week. Cardi B confronted Nicki Minaj with a shoe, and left with a bump on her head. Nicki Minaj returned with several Queen Radio shows on Beats 1 addressing the matter.
It all came to pass after the two went back and forth on social media before agreeing not to address it again.
