Iggy Azalea is giving fans a small dose of her personal life.
The Australian rapper keeps her family life private, but Iggy showed off her son with Playboi Carti, Onyx, 2.

Last year, Iggy told her fans on social media that she wouldn’t share messages or updates about her baby boy after trolls started bullying him. Billboard points out, that at the time, Iggy said, “I’ve decided I won’t be posting about Onyx or sharing images online anymore. Y’all not about to be out here playing with my baby on my watch, nope!” The “Fancy” rapper continued,
“I don’t play about my baby. At ALLLLLLL. My child is not a sub-brand for his fathers fans to obsess over or clown on because the reality is that y’all don’t like his mom so you think it’s cute to be rude about a baby and what funny stuff he wears.” Iggy ended with, “Know that I will smack you in person, and so will his dad.”
Iggy and Playboi Carti started dating in 2018. In April 2020, they secretly welcomed their son, but she didn’t make the news public until two months later. Toward the end of the year, Onyx’s parents broke up. It’s not exactly clear why, but at the time, Iggy said, “You lost a real 1. People take loyalty for granted & that’s why I’d rather be alone. One thing I’ll never understand is how liars live with themselves. That sh*t don’t eat y’all up inside?”
She later clarified that she is single and raising her son alone. They are seemingly co-parenting.
Carti told XXL that Iggy is a “great mom,” but he’s also single. He said, “Iggy, she’s a great mom. I love her to death. I’m single. She’s single now. But that’s one of the best mothers in the world. And that’s what you got to put in the book, you hear me? I love her to death. She is the best mother in the world.”
