Those who sat down to watch Power this weekend, got a BIG surprise early in the show when the show’s intro and theme song had a different voice.
50 Cent decided to open up the final season of its hit show with Trey Songz instead of Joe who had sung the intro in the past 5 seasons.
Following fans reaction to the shocking change, 50 Cent immediately sent out a message on social media.
He then later continued about his thinking for changing the track.
“Yo @treysongz looked at me like,” he wrote. “What you want to do to the song. I’m like let’s just update it, it’s 6 years old. He was like ok if you say so 50.”

Joe heard the backlash and decided to go onto social media for an update himself.
“All in favor say I,” he exclaimed. “FANS HAVE A LOT OF #power! Ya’ll are amazing! Will hit y’all once I’m settled in AFRICA @50cent – ALL LOVE – (we made a classic!)”
