Jay- Z just made another HUGE business move. The rap mogul partnered with Caliva, a California based cannabis company, as their new Chief Brand Strategist.
Jay’s new role will consist of helping the company with its creative decisions, strategies, and outreach efforts, as well as focusing on the social justice issues pertaining to the legalization of the substance. According to Rolling Stone, Jay will also “work on improving the representation and participation of previously incarcerated people who are still being kept out of the legal weed business in large numbers.”
In a recent statement Jay-Z said, “Anything I do, I want to do correctly and at the highest level. With all the potential in the cannabis industry, Caliva’s expertise and ethos make them the best partners for this endeavor. We want to create something amazing, have fun in the process, do good and bring people along the way.”
