According to court documents, Meek Mill’s request to be released from prison has been denied. The reasons for Judge Genece Brinkley remains indefinite, as a result the rapper will remain behind bars.

Brinkley said the court found Meek “in technical violation of his probation for the fifth time, and as result, revoked his probation and sentenced him to a term of 2 to 4 years state incarceration.” Meek’s team believes Brinkley to be biased and have asked her to “rescue herself from the case.”

His lawyer Joe Tacopina released a statement on Monday saying:

“This ruling from Judge Genece Brinkley simply reaffirms the fact she has turned Meek Mill’s case into a personal vendetta.”

He also states:

In spite of the recommendations from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, which was supported by Governor Tom Wolf, the judge continues to stand alone in supporting Officer Reginald Graham’s perjured testimony as well as his criminal behavior that has been documented.”

Meek’s team has already filed a petition to Pennsylvania Supreme Court in order to secure his release.
