Meek Mill’s recent sentencing to 2-4 years in prison after violating his probation has caught everyone’s attention!
As the Philadelphia rapper has been receiving a lot of support from friends, family, and fans via social media, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf launched a petition in hopes of stopping Meek from going to prison.
“I felt the need to create a petition to reevaluate the charges, his impact in the community and the subsequent sentencing.” – Tom Wolf
Wolf wanted to make things clears about his expectations for the petition, and that is to simply draw as much attention to the situation so authorities can see how many people believe this is too harsh of a punishment.
“designed to show the amount of people who believe that the punishment was harsh and that him being imprisoned will be a disservice to the youth and community at large.” – Tom Wolf.
Celebrities such a Diddy, and T.I. are also helping with spreading the message to their followers.
