Will we be getting a new Kendrick Lamar album in 2019?
K.Dot is breaking hearts with quotes from his latest interview with the Los Angeles Times. During the conversation it was asked if he was working on another album. Unfortionately for fans, it doesn’t seem like that is in his plans at the current moment.
He’s friendly but cryptic, inclined toward vague generalities open to interpretation. He’s been writing long-form, but declines to articulate what it’s about, what themes are reoccurring and in what form it will eventually see release. He claims he hasn’t been working on a new album, but says that he’s constantly working. Someone in his camp mentions they’re going to the studio immediately after this.
So are they playing or not? I guess we will find out in 2019!
His last album, DAMN was released in 2017. He is also heavily featured in the Black Panther soundtrack which he helped produce on February 9, 2018.
