Kodak Black is trying to get his nearly four-year sentence reduced.

Reported on XXL, his legal team appealed Kodak’s sentence. The document says:

“Notice is hereby given that the Defendant, Bill K. Kapri, takes and enters this, his Notice of Appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit to review the Orders, Judgment and Sentence entered on November 13, 2019.”

Kodak’s legal team also requested that their client be placed in a location that has a Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP). If approved, the Florida rapper would spend a portion of his sentence in rehab.

The “Calling My Spirit” artist is planing on earning his degree while behind bars.

We covered the story, Kodak was sentenced to 46-months on federal gun charges. He was reportedly involved in a jail fight that resulted in an officer getting sent to the hospital. It’s not clear if he’ll face charges from that.

Kodak received two additional firearm charges and is facing 30 years, on top of his sentence. So it’s not looking too good for Kodak right now, but hopefully, everything works out!
