Seven months after Lil Keed’s death, his family and fans are getting answers about what caused it.

According to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner/Coroner’s Office, he passed away from natural causes due to eosinophilia. Cancer.Gov defines eosinophilia as a “condition in which the number of eosinophils (a type of white blood cell) in the blood is greatly increased. Eosinophilia is often a response to infection or allergens (substances that cause an allergic response).”

It’s unclear what caused the condition. The coroner says he consumed alcohol and vaped regularly; however, his relatives say he wasn’t a drug user and didn’t have unrelated medical conditions.

Over the last few months, the cause of death has been a mystery as fans tried to speculate a reason. A few weeks ago, Lil Keed’s mom, Michelle Woods, shut down crazy rumors and said her son died of natural causes.

She said, “In grieving my son’s death, myself and the rest of the family were caused a lot of pain by the lies and rumors spread on the blogs and the internet with false information about Raqhid’s passing.” Woods also said, “I’m glad that the truth is finally out, and I ask that everyone please be respectful of his family and his legacy. Long Live Keed.”

Lil Keed died on May 13 at 10:14 pm. Before the tragedy, he spent a few hours at Burbank hospital due to stomach and back pain. Reported on The Jasmine Brand, the coroner’s report says:

“He had been sick in bed for 4 days with complaints of stomach and back pains. His brother noted that the decedent’s eyes were jaundiced and drove him to the hospital in a private vehicle.”

The report also says he suffered a seizure while getting medical treatment and later went unresponsive. The YSL rapper had a previous medical scare and was hospitalized in a Georgia facility. He initially went in due to stomach pains, but the “Solid” rapper left the hospital prematurely and didn’t seek follow-up care.

Following Lil Keed’s death, his brother Lil Gotit said, “Can’t believe I seened u die today bro I did all my cries. I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy.”

Keed was only 24. He’s survived by his girlfriend, known as Quana Bandz and their daughter Naychur, 3. At the time of his untimely passing, Quana was expecting another child with the rapper, took to social media and said, “what ima tell our new baby what Ima tell Naychur.” It’s not clear if she had the baby.

Our hearts continue to be with Lil Keed and his family.
