Rapper Lil TJay is up, alert and talking after reports claim he was in critical condition.
TMZ reports that a source close to the rapper confirms that TJay is recovering, and that doctors removed his breathing tube and that his voice sounds the same as before the incident.
We previously reported that the rapper was shot while in Edgewater, New Jersey. According to TMZ the rapper was shot along with one other victim whose identity has not been disclosed. There were reportedly two shooting sites — one at a Chipotle Restaurant and another at a nearby Exxon Gas station.
Authorities reportedly want to speak with Tjay about details surrounding the incident, now that he’s speaking.
