Lil’ Uzi Vert sent shocks through the hip hop world when he decided that he was “done with music.”

He reveals that the issue is one that many artists have experienced over the years. His situation with his label Atlantic Records has frustrated him so much that he compared it to snitching.

“Y’all talking about drop something,” he said in an Instagram video. “I’m tryna drop something. I dropped New Patek. That s*** ain’t getting leaked. I’ve been tryna drop something new. Bro, this is my life now. All I can do is make music and sit back and wait for y’all response and make visions to this s***. You think I don’t wanna drop music? You just gotta understand when people don’t love you, they’ll hold your life if you sign a muthaf***in’ … Hold that s*** against you.

He later continued.

“And that go for the streets too. You ain’t supposed to sign no muthf***in’ paper in the streets because that’s rattin. How the f*** I even sign this shit as a deal. Muthaf***a set myself up. What other way I was suppose to let this s*** go? S***, it be all good at first just like them muthaf***in’ rats. Mutahf***a be right out of jail.”
