Lil Wayne pulled up on someone near and dear to his heart, his “Uncle Bob.”

Take a look:

Weezy visited former New Orleans police officer, Robert Hoobler, who he refers to as Uncle Bob. A few years ago, Wayne opened up about his mental health struggles and his suicide attempt when he was 12.

Initially, it was believed Wayne accidentally shot himself in the chest when he was 12. However, he opened up about his suicide attempt after his mom banned him from rapping for skipping school.

“I was just looking [in the mirror] like, ‘You know what?’ Start thinking I had to get myself mad and I noticed that I didn’t have to — that’s what scared me,” Wayne recalled. “How I knew I had mental health problems was I pulled the trigger.”

According to Wayne, when cops responded to his 911 call and arrived at his mom’s apartment, they stepped over his heavily-bleeding body and instead searched the property for drugs and guns. Uncle Bob, a local off-duty police officer, arrived on the scene afterward, rushed Wayne to the hospital, and saved his life.
