Nas is receiving praise from Magic Johnson after naming a track on his new album, Magic 2, after him. “On Nas’s new album, Magic 2, he dedicated track [seven] to me called 'Earvin Magic Johnson!'” the NBA legend wrote on Twitter. “Thank you for the respect and honor of my business acumen. You’re a hell of a businessman in your own right!”
On “Earvin Magic Johnson,” the New York rapper pays homage to the success of the basketball player turned businessmen. Nas raps, “On my Earvin Magic Johnson, I’m enterprising/ I keep it ghetto like the hood before they gentrified it/ I might burn this b**ch down, Left Eye, Andre Rison."
Magic 2, which was released last Friday (July 21), is Nas' fifth collaborative project with Hit-Boy. It features guest appearances from 50 Cent and 21 Savage.
