It’s official! Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are set to have a fight on Memorial Day weekend.
Tyson, 54 announced that he will be fighting Holyfield, 58 on May 29th, although Holyfield’s team did say that the negotiations were over a day before.
During an IG Live session, Tyson said, “I just want everybody to know the fight is on with me and Holyfield.” He continued, “Holyfield’s a humble man I know that and he’s a man of God but I’m God’s man. Listen, I’m going to be successful May 29.”
As of right now, Holyfield’s camp has yet to respond to Tyson’s announcement. Stay tuned for updates.
According to TMZ, Holyfield’s manager released a statement about the fight saying, that “talks had fallen apart between the two sides.”
