It has been confirmed! Missy Elliott has become the first female rapper to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Back in November, Elliott was nominated and now she has been selected to join the class of 2019 with Dallas Austin, Cat Stevens, John Prine and Tom T. Hall.

For more than 20 years Missy has been giving fans hit after hit after hit such as Gossip Folks, One Minute Man, Work It, Hot Boyz, and more. This induction is well deserved. The rapper took to Instagram to celebrate this special moment. See Below
