Comedian Wanda Sykes commended her industry sister Mo’Nique after she disclosed how much money Netflix offered her to do a comedy special.
Mo’Nique took to Instagram with a video asking her fans to “stand with her and boycott Netflix of Gender Bias and Color Bias,” after being offered $500,000 compared to the millions that Amy Schumer, Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock signed off on with Netflix.
Wanda Sykes tweeted at Mo’Nique to thank her for being brave, and says Netflix offered her LESS THAN $250,000 dollars for a Netflix special.
Mo’Nique then went on to make a second video further explaining her issue with Netflix and WHY she believe there was color bias in their decision to offer her and Wanda Sykes significantly less than Amy Schumer.
