Tennis star Naomi Osaka and her boyfriend rapper Cordae recently gave birth to their newborn daughter.
While on stage, Cordae, revealed the name of their newborn baby. “My daughter Shai was just born a couple days ago, so I dedicate this performance to my baby girl Shai,” he told the audience. “Love you, I’m going back home,” he said.’
Naomi also shared her sentiments to her baby girl via Instagram. She shared a series of pictures and captioned it, “well that was a cool little intermission, now back to your regularly scheduled program” followed by a tennis ball emoji.
We previously reported that Naomi announced the news via her Instagram back in January. She captioned the ultrasound photo, “the past few years have been interesting to say the least, but I find that it’s the most challenging times in life that may be the most fun. These few months away from the sport has really given me a new love and appreciation for the game I’ve dedicated my life to,” she wrote.
The post continued, “I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, every day is a new blessing and adventure. I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom,’ haha,” Osaka continued.
