What’s your favorite team? Or your favorite sport? A recent study shows that the NBA is becoming America’s favorite pastime sport.
According to a Twitter study earlier this year- the NBA was the most discussed sport in 2018, LeBron James being the most talked about athlete, and the Cleveland Cavaliers is the most tweeted about team.
For a long time, the NFL has been America’s favorite pastime sport. Due to the new generation of millennials, the NBA has the support of young America. Actually greater in numbers, then any other sport.
The NFL reportedly brings in approximately $13 billion, but since the protests against police brutality started by Colin Kaepernick, the ratings have gone down.
It is expected that within the next 5 years- the NBA will become North America’s favorite sport.
