Governor Cuomo has announced that the New York City subway services will stop between the times of 1 a.m – 5 a.m every night so that the trains can be properly disinfected.

For those who usually use the subways during those times, Cuomo announced that there will be other alternatives for commuters to use such as for-hire vehicles, dollar-vans, and shuttle buses.

In a recent press conference, he said, “This is as ambitious as anything we’ve ever undertaken. It’s a heck of an undertaking by the mayor and I applaud [Mayor de Blasio] for his ambition here in stepping up and taking this on.”

Gov. Cuomo gave the latest statistics on COVD-19 revealing that 306 more people have died from the virus in New York State and that the state is at the lowest number is March 30th.
