Nicki Minaj Is Lending A Helping Hand To Help Flood Victims In Trinidad & Tobago

After Trinidad and Tobago experienced widespread flooding following torrential rains for four days last week, the hip-hop mogul made an announcement on Twitter that she’s working on her own personal effort to help her native home nation.

In a tweet, posted on Tuesday, Minaj said, “Trinidad, I am working on getting many different resources to you now.”

Minaj, who reposted a video of the island nation’s current predicament, drew the attention of 200,000 views including international celebrities like DJ Khaled, Busta Rhymes, and Trinidad James.

With that said, the ‘Barbie Dreams’ rapper is currently in communication with soca artistes Ian “Bunji Garlin” Alvarez and his wife Fay Ann about what the people of Trinidad and Tobago need. Her efforts have also been acknowledged by the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr Keith Rowley.

According to reports, there have been no deaths or injuries, but the floods have caused widespread damage to infrastructure, homes and the agricultural sector.
