The numbers are in and prove Nike made the right decision when they selected Colin Kaepernick to be the face of its “Just Do It” 30th-anniversary ad campaign.

Just two weeks after the Nike ad surfaced, conservatives were outraged with the intent to boycott. Folks were burning Nike gear and a Louisiana mayor even attempted to ban the brand from being sold at public facilities before second guessing his decision.

President Trump went as far as tweeting about Nike stating that they would be “absolutely killed with anger and boycotts,” along with “What was Nike thinking.”

Fortunately for Nike, just two weeks after the Colin Kaepernick ad, shares skyrocketed, closing at $83.47— which is an all-time high for the company.

Without a doubt, taking the risk with this controversial ad was well worth it proving that men lie, women lie, but numbers don’t!
