Nipsey Hussle’s memorial service will take place on Thursday, April 11th– at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Tickets were provided to fans, for free, in the Los Angeles area. Those tickets sold out within minutes, leaving many fans unable to get a chance to say their final goodbyes. Luckily, BET has come up with a way for fans all across the world to pay their respects to the late Nipsey Hussle.
Connie Orlando, head of Oringinal Program at BET, put out an official statement regarding Nipsey Hussle. “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Nipsey Hussle. Nipsey is part of the BET family and first appeared on the Network in 2009 in a Hip Hop Awards cypher, we share this loss with his millions of fans around the world. From his insurmountable talent to his commitment to reaching back to underserved communities Nipsey’s kind spirit will be sorely missed. We will keep his entire family as well as our BET sister, Lauren London in our thoughts and prayers during this immensely difficult time.”
BET will be airing the memorial service at 1 p.m. EST, live on BET networks. Marc Lamont Hill and Gia Peppers will host the live airing.
