Nipsey Hussle’s mom Angelique Smith might have been the strongest person in the room last night.
Her words days before she laid her son to rest brought us peace, comfort, and direction on how to move forward as we remember the late rapper’s life. During the memorial she was composed and showed strength as she talked about her baby boy.
“I have perfect peace,” she said. “I’m happy. I am complete. I am strong. And if I can feel this way, so can you.”
Following the proceedings, a 25.5 mile procession which stopped at his Marathon clothing store, drove the body of Nipsey Hussle around Los Angeles so fans and those in his community could say their last goodbyes.
Smith continued to show strength, as she sat in the back of the car with her grandchildren and celebrated Nipsey Hussle’s life by reciting his lyrics and dancing to his music.
Respect to his mother, and prayers go out to the family and friends of Nipsey Hussle.
